March 3, 2010 - 7:58 pm - The GGBridge shot and the silhouettes are my favs. I like the Rodin shot too. Beautiful work as always... Congrats Michi and Dave!
This shoot was the result of a lot of things going right. I was in Taipei National Museum with my friend Howard, and I got a message on my Blackberry asking if I would be up for flying to Hong Kong for an engagement shoot. It sounded good, but wasn’t sure all the schedules were going to line up.
Luckily they did, and we spent the day together, going from the different neighborhoods, getting dim sum, and then ending the night on the spectacular waterfront.

February 23, 2010 - 10:26 pm - HK! Looks like you were in Central. Love the pics!

Hello friends. I’m on the airplane in Denver flying home. I was in Steamboat Springs with my brother, his gf and some of his other friends.

This is where we skied every day.

John Cooking.

Matt Cooking.

Matt amped for his first day.

Vida ready to hit the slopes!!!

John + Vida.

John + Vida tackling the mountain.

Watching the Olympics at the end of the day.

Ordering the biggest breakfast of our lives.

Walking around downtown.
The skiing at Steamboat was great. I am still trying to stay on my edges on the steep part, but we all had a great time. Part of the fun is we all took turns cooking our specialty. It was great to eat everyones creations after a long day of skiing. We would sit down, eat potato and leek soup, drink some Pabst Blue Ribbon and watch Shaun White tip it up in Vancouver!
Anyhow, I’m excited to be coming home. I was alble to finish my book, Dan Brown’s, “The Lost Symbol.” living the kindle!
Hope you’re all well and enjoying the olympics!
Mark

February 8, 2010 - 12:57 am - well done, Mark. Now I can be properly jealous of all of your adventures. Rock on, I am proud of what you have achieved.
March 6, 2010 - 11:06 pm - Mark, the food looks so good. What is it?
Hello friends,
Last night we went to the Taipei Shihlin Night market.
Please forgive the quality of the photos, as I figured Blackberry camera phone of the back of my real camera is better than none! I will replace with real photos when I get home.
The food was incredible! The story I was told was the street vendors were all over the place in this general area, so the government decided to help organize a little. The result is a nightly market that has the festive feeling of a carnival, with fun games and good food.
Though most were young, people of all ages were out, and since diversity of product keeps your stand hot, there was so much to choose from!
Off to the museum today!
Hope you are all well.
Mark

February 2, 2010 - 4:24 pm - Hey Mark, Update this dumb thing so that those of us who are living vicariously through your adventures can see something new! Just kidding, have fun. (it sounds like you are) IF you ever come across any cool RH cd's not available here while on your travels, pick 'em up for me. stay safe, Rob
February 9, 2010 - 12:13 pm - My second favorite city in the world. I miss all those dirty, ghetto milk tea shops. And is that cake seriously $150?
Hello friends. I’m sitting in my hotel room drinking coffee after a eventul first day in Taipei.
It’s been great to see the sights and eat the food! Oh my, so far we have had a “taiwanese burger” which is more like an omlette wrapped in a fluffy bun, and an eggs scramble. Then we saw the new BellaVita complex, and had a great cup of coffee.
Onward to Taipei 101, and Beef Noodle soup! Supposedly the broth has been boiling for 50 years, of course they use half in a day but there is a steady amount that’s been since they opened! Pretty sure if that were American health code, they would be shut down right away, or have a big F rating on the door.
Wish I could post photos but I decided to travel light this trip, so no laptop.
Hope you are all well!
